A beautiful Monday to you all. Hope you all started your week well and right. Mine on the other hand started with gloomy clouds and it has been raining nonstop from last week!. I must admit that the weather in Europe sucks. We should be actually having summer right now but it feels like fall. So cold :((
Okay enough of the complaints. Todays post is going to be super sweet and short. As i was going through my pictures on my computer, i came across this photos which i took back last summer. I love the beautiful prints on this dress. It was custom made in Ghana when we made a trip to visit my mom in law. I know probably many of you don`t know this but i am married to a ghanian. Yess!!…. i can proudly say now that i`m half Kenyan, half Ghanian (If there is even something like that in the first place).
I must admit that the culture in Ghana is far way different than from ours in Kenya. What really astonished me is the different type of dishes (foods) that they have in their land. Like there is no way possible you can stay in Ghana without adding some pounds. But what i love the most is their beautiful ankara fabrics! You have to see them in order to believe it. AMAZING is the right word for just how gorgeous their fabrics are. Even my mom who is a seamstress couldn`t decide which print to choose from. So after buying my fabrics, we just went ahead to the seamstress who did her magic on the dresses she made for me. I can`t wait to share them with you on the blog. I know this is not everybody`s cup of tea but i wear my African proudly.
How do you rock your ankara prints? I would love to read your ideas on how you style them…
As always thanks for stopping by. A beautiful and blessed week to you all.
