I don`t remember the last time we took a family portrait. This has always been on top of our list for the longest time coming.
We`ve always wanted it professionally done. The only challenging thing that we`ve had to struggle with in this whole process is finding a photographer who does outdoor shootings. Now this is the part we had to be smart and look for Plan B. After so much research and experience behind the lens, hubby decided to set and time the camera in a way that gave him some few seconds to run and join us for that perfect shot. Thinking about it now, i wish i could have captured the whole scenario in a video. Clearly, words can`t describe how hilarious that was! It took me back to the days when we used to play hide and seek and all those fun games as kids. It felt so so good to be in the moment, soaked and drained in nothing but laughter, joy, undeniable love and a bond tighter than ever. This has had to be by far one of my highlights this year and after this experience, we are looking forward to capture as many beautiful moments as we possible can together as family.
I feel like our bond is getting more stronger as each year passes by. Our understanding has deepend in a more profound way and i want to take a moment and give credits to the most High who has been a solid Rock in our marriage. Don`t get me wrong though. This doesn`t mean that we don`t experience storms in this journey. Not at all. What has kept us through it all is directing this storms and all that energy to pursue what God has purposed for our family. It has drawn us together, closer, stronger, better and for us, this is the heart of marriage. It felt amazing to finally have the opportunity to shoot hubby and the boys as well. This just reminded me how much love i have for this amazing man. What he goes through to just make me happy is way out of this world.
Robin`s nephew (Nana) came by to visit for a month and i`ve never seen Robin so full of life like that. It felt amazing to be a mother of two in a short span of four weeks and trust me when i tell you that i owned that title like pro, you best beleive it :). Nana is such an amazing, respectful, young and youthful boy and his positive energy radiates from the way he talks and carries himself around. Robin on the hand has been growing gracefully and him being officially in the second grade has boosted and elevated his confidence a notch higher. It has been exciting witnessing the different kind of transtions that are taking place in his life to say the least. It`s insane how fast time has gone. Next month he `s officially turning 8 years and my oh my, the pressure i`m receiving from all directions is REAL! I love being a mom. At the end of the day–no matter how many mismatched socks are in the laundry basket or how many eye rolls i’ve endured, I am glad we said yes to parenthood. I love that even though Parenting isn`t always a walk in the park, every phase, every hard day that leaves us weary and wondering if we are doing it right, we love that God chose us for him.
And that`s it loves for today. Hope you enjoyed this personal post as much as i did creating it.
Wishing you all a good start to the week. Take charge of it 🙂
Sending you Lopts of Love,
