No Pain.. No Gain.. | Making It Happen!

04/10/2015

Today marks officially two weeks since i put something up here but trust you me, it has been one of the longest, busiest and least comfortable two weeks of my life! I had been under the weather and making a post was the least of my concern. We are currently experiencing a very unpredictable weather which is totally to blame! One minute it`s extremely chilly and the next hour the skies are blue and the sun is shining! But i am more than glad to be back… I seriously realized in this period of time that i wasn`t here, that blogging is really what i love doing! With that being said, Hello my lovely readers! I trust y`all doing good and right!

Making it Happen_01

Making it Happen_02

Since i started working, i have been in a constant struggle in finding out the right balance between blogging, taking care of my family and work! This has led me to procrastinate so many things in my life right now, something i`m not really proud of! I knew from day one when i started this journey that i surely needed to find time and resources for it. What i didn`t know is how challenging this would be, (sigh!). After doing some reflection, i have concluded that  having a good plan (blogging schedule) is key to what will help me keep me focused on topics that i plan to share with my readers…..

Making it Happen_04

Making it Happen_05

This brings me back again when i started blogging…. I always had a notebook with me in my bag something which was of big help whenever i had ideas of future blog posts. I used it to jot down notes and i would sometimes write an entire post in my notebook then when i had time at the computer, i just transfer the content. Somewhere along the line, i completely lost track of it and i guess it`s time to put this into practise again.

Making it Happen_07

Making it Happen_08

I have realized that putting pressure on myself won`t help me in any way. The feeling of letting go of things i can`t control is sometimes the best option. There will be days when i won`t end up blogging for some reason or another. But i am planning to use every single opportunity i have to create good content not only for you, but personally also for me as well. As much as i would love to see me grow as a brand, at the end of the day the love of my family and for God is far more important. This includes setting boundaries in my life and not puting on myself more pressure than i can handle.

Making it Happen_09

Making it Happen_10

I am still in the process of learning  the  importance of writing things down with an intention of making it happen. Sometimes it may not happen the way i want it to happen but one thing for sure is that if i put some effort on it, i believe that it will surely happen. All i need to have is faith and believe that i am capable of doing it!  The Bible says that faith without action is dead. I can believe and believe but if i don`t put action behind it, it would be of no good! It`s all about putting some action behind the words and behind the vision boards and giving it all your best.. After all you can only reap what you have sowed, right??

This is definitely a wake up call for me, but i also hope it has been of help to someone out there. We all have ambitions. All we need to do is to take one step everyday, every week, every month towards making that dream of ours turn into a reality 🙂 Maybe at first it won`t be much, but it will surely be enough. One thing for sure is that it will be worth making the time for it. After all, if you don`t find the time to make it happen, who else is going to do it for you??

Wishing you all a beautiful and fruitful week muffins!!

Eiiii MI LADY !!! or how would Shakespeare have said it , My girl if some people were born and some were created i must say you were created.. I just love how the documents are flowing and the colours look more than great on you my girl . Everything is more than perfect and put together jaber .
Its sure not easy balancing most of these things but at least from time to time you create that time and make us happy. I always say creating a blog is not even a problem, but maintaining the blog and keeping up the consistency is the main job and you get to know so many sweet people along and want to drop by their posts too but hardly find time. But we all as Bloggers understand it better
Thank you jaber for impressing my eyes with such a great outfit, I was also actually thinking of soft scarfs this summer and you couldn’t do it any elegant than this!
    Enjoy your day ma

Milly I really needed to hear this. I have been the proscratinating type and now being a blogger elevated the problem even more. Being a mom , wife and full time worker does have it toll on me and finding the time to write content that I can relate to and hope others can relate to is no joke now. Like you said God and family take priority which is true for me too and also giving my 100% at work, but we have to find time and make time to do the things we love. I have also been working on my editorial calendar (slowly) I must add to schedule my posts like you and always carrying my notepad to jot notes in for future posts putting my faith to work just like you mentioned. Am so glad you shared this as I really needed the encouragement. You look amazing in the blue and black just look how the skirt is flaunting your perfect body shape. Stay bless dear.

      Aaaaaw Sonia!
Reading this made me me smile so much! The impact you can have on somebody you have never met, yet you feel like you know this person so well is really amazing!
This is a struggle that so many of us are going through and most of us don’t know how to deal with it hun! I like how you said that we shouldn’t forget about what we love! So so important! And last week I was watching a show and the host of the show asked the guy who was invited how he has managed to have a beautiful marriage for so long! The question was like what’s the secret of a happy marriage? And he answered all the good things that we know like being respectful, helpful, faithful.. And so on! But then he came again and told the host that for him it is so important that he supports his wife’s dream! That’s was so admirable you know! I just loved how he was so honest about it!
Thank you for your love and support dear… You are amazing!
