Thank God it`s Friday, yeahhhhh 🙂
Is it only me or is anyone out there in the same boat as i am thinking out loud how days are passing by so fast? I feel like these past week has been a battle for me in terms of managing my time! And on that note, i hope you guys started off the month with a kick and you are making each use of it in a productive way. Talking about September, it has been bright, sunny and graced us with amazing heat, which ofcourse you know isn`t always the case here in Germany. There has been days when the heat has been unbearable to the extend of making it impossible to go outside. And there has been days when all i wanted to do was stay outside and fuel in enough Vitamin D for those cold days which are ahead of me. Either way, i have been taking each day as it comes and embracing it to the fullest with a peaceful mindset.
So let`s take a minute and appreciate this BEAUTIFUL two piece set that my ever gorgeous Emily Warinda made me me when i was in Kenya for holidays. This my friends was a complete surprise, i must confess. When i planned this trip home, i knew we had to meet and catch up and although our meet up was too short, i`m glad we did sacrifice the time to see each other. So all i did was send her my measurements and this was the outcome. My jaw almost dropped down when i went to try it on. Talking of class and elegance in one package! I have always admired Aimie`s work and to have the opportunity to get my hands on one of her so many designs was an honor. The color palette she chose for the crop top and the high-low skirt was perfect for me. Clean and Sassy! And not talking about the off-shoulder touch that she added on the crop top?? Arghhh! She knows me so well :). So after a few adjustments on the waist, i was good to go!
In my books, this isn`t an everyday outfit. It`s for those special days.. maybe an event, a wedding or rather a special occassion where i would add that extra notch to look extra good. It`s definitely a head turner because of it`s unique design and the choice of fabric in my humble opinion. As i´m writing this post i can hear and feel my inner voice aching so loud to me to talk about a very sensitive topic called EMPOWERMENT. I think by now statistics have proved that society is going downhill so fast. Things have changed. Others have fallen apart. Others have mulitiplied and grown. It`s like a rollercoster ride which will never come to an end. What i have learnt though in the midst of it all is that a woman with VISION empowers an empire of women to do more, see more and be more. She stands up with them and not against them. As you let your own shine light, you are unconsciosly giving others the chance to do the same. Why? Simply because the light reflects the good in you and that can be a big inspiration to someone out there. I choose to sorround myself with phenomenal women who are confident and secure enough to know that there is enough room for all of us to make it to the finish line. It`s all about inhaling the confidence and exhaling the doubt, right? So here is to strong women. may we know them. May we be them. And may we raise them.
This post is dedicated to you my dear Warinda. You have supported, inspired and seen the potential in me since day one. And to see how you have evolved and grown in this journey has been amazing. No words can describe that :). I believe that i`m not the only one who can attest to this. I know God has played a major role in it. But also your hard work, consistency and positive state of mind cannot go unrecognized. I can`t thank you enough for this piece. For being more than friend. That sister that i never had :). May God bless you so much.
I would be really ungrateful not to mention my ever supportive lovely readers. This platform would be nothing without you. Thank you for the encouragement. For the feedback. It`s alaways appreciated. Always. Shout out to the good hearts and beautiful minds. Shout out to women empowering and supporting each other. Together we can get each other through this struggle called LIFE 🙂
Have an amazing weekend…
