Food For Thought: ,,What If ……?”

What i`m about to share with you guys has got to be one of the most saddest things that i`ve personally experienced to date! The past week has been a rollercoaster full of mixed feelings and emotions about life in general. I got to experience how a very good friend of mine had to deal with the loss of a loved one, the mother of his children, after a long battle with a terminal disease! Everything came to a standstill the moment the doctors had to share with the family that the treatment wasn`t responding anymore; Unfortunately there was only a few weeks left.. Maybe days… Now, How do you tell a man who is preparing himself and his children for the death of his wife, that everything will be ok?

Food For Thought_03

This is a really sensisitive and personal Topic. I was honestly battling whether or not i should share it here on the blog. But then i viewed it in a different perspective. ,,What if you knew that Today was to be your last day… What would you do differently?”

Food For Thought_05

Food For Thought_08

  • Would you look at your world and the people in it differently?
  • Would you be more thoughtful in your words?
  • Would you do things you have always wanted to do but put off doing for a better time?
  • Instead of focussing on what is wrong with your life, would you go about looking for Happiness?
  • Would you love more, forgive more or give more?

Food For Thought_04

The truth is we all never know if we will see tomorrow, but i always go to bed in Faith believing that the Lord Almighty will give me a chance to see another beautiful day. That`s why it is more than important for me personally  to live today as if it were my last by treasuring the moments i have and making sure they count!

,,Lord if it is your will, please give me the strength and  the peace not to worry  about it… “

Food For Thought_06

Food For Thought_02

Here is the thing. We shouldn`t need our world to come to an end to truly appreciate it and those who make it special. Just think about how much happier and more fulfilled you would feel if you created A Life of Meaning., A Life of Purpose! I know it sounds easier said than done bit it`is important to know that in the end, what we regret most are the chances we never took!

Very has become so short; one day you are with someone and the next they are not there anymore and it scares me so much but I’ve learnt to always pray and not worry, love and cherish all those close to me so I won’t have to regret when they are gone. Sorry for your loss..:-(
The outfit is simple and elegant..!

Hi! Thank you for sharing this post. It really requires some deep down soul searching into our life and daily choices. I used to feel that when outside things would happen then I would experience joy but when I found out that joy is deep inside me and available right now it changed my life and habits. as challenging as it is, I am learning how to fight hard daily to appreciate each day and look for the goodness God brings into my life. Well again thanks for sharing sis. Great start to my day and thanks for doing his calling…much love and have a great week!

Love this sleek and edgy look Milly! I lost my husband to cancer when my two kids were 7 and 4 so I know how it feels to be in this situation. All I have to say is that God was by my side every step of the way. I did not know what he had in store for me but I am so happy with where I am now. It’s hard to see during difficult times but I just tell others that God has a plan and just trust in that. Thanks for sharing. XO

Something to really think about dear. Such a thought, I pray God will grant the man the peace and grace he needs to pull through in such tragedy. Life is so uncertain and we never know how anything can actually turn out without partnering with God to reveal his will for our lives. Like you mentioned anxiousness does not help the situation either, we have to trust God enough to believe that he has everything in control and everyday is an opportunity granted to us to just live …..JUST LIVE. As we forget to do so sometimes and dwell on our past. On a lighter note you look so beautiful dear and the black and white with the tone of your skin is GLOW GLAMOUR. I just made this up but all i was trying to put in words is you are beautiful and you rock the look. Enjoy the rest of your week

You are just a pure tay of sunshine Sonia
Thanks for this word of encouragement!!

Whew girl. That was strong. Amen. I love the little prayer you did, but you are so right. We shouldn’t wait until things like this happen and then realize we need to live more fully and with more kindness. So touching.

Forgive my lateness on the roll call Amillo you understand exams oh. I love reading your posts when am free and peacefull both physically and mentally cause its always a food for the thought here in your blog which you achieve in a perfect way so far.
On that topic I would say death is the worst thief that has deprived all of us great opportunities with great people through out the journeys of our lives. It has deprived us chances in one way or another. The worst thing is that the pain of death can never heal and is upto us to learn to live with the outcome and that has been a hard part however long the years move but that pain is fresh in the memory each time. It only depends on how we adjust.
Feeling sorry for your friend and hopefully he the children will adjust and come to terms with it.

You look great in white and Black for this post as black symbolise the dark days and white is for the better brighter days that are yet to come. Thumbs high

How serendipitous that I should find your blog and this post today 🙂 it’s been a very challenging year for my family and I this year, in terms of health, and I’ve had to stop, take stock many many times over the past 11 months. Each time I’ve wanted to, you know, give up, I try to pause and remember I have so much more to live for. It doesn’t always work right away but eventually, the fact that I have countless people/things to be grateful for sinks in, and I get up again. And you’re right. Taking the time to not only appreciate what we have but verbalising that appreciation is absolutely vital. Thank you for that little reminder, that gentle nudge 🙂 I hope you had a wondrous Thanksgiving with you and yours yesterday.
