It`s October now and as sad as it might sound, Summer is officially over! Did i mention the fact that we experienced a surprisingly warm September this year? That has never happened in my nine years of me being in this country! The wind is getting colder. The leaves are turning brown and falling down. People are layering up and walking around in cosy sweaters and scarves. It actually dawned to me yesterday that it really is that time to bring back my Fall wardrobe back to life! And with that being said, happy new month to all of you!
A short break was needed! To gather more inspiration. To reflect on my goals and refocus on what i still want to achieve. And it did do me well i must say. I`m happy to be back at it again. And this time round, i`m back with some more red :). I`m sure you can tell by now that my love for anything red is growing more each day. This was actually my Sunday outfit to church and since i really loved how the ensemble came out, i thought i`d do a post on it. I got this polka dot top from h&m four years ago. I remember clearly how striking the color was and still is for me. That`s the number one reason why i got it in the first place and i must say, it was a good investment. It`s one of those versatile pieces which i can style in so many ways.
So since i was away for a while, i thought i`d share with you how my September looked like….
- I have been working on my third sewing project which is almost done. This took me longer than i thought. But again, it`s not all about presenting the final product. What matters the most is the learning process involved. But i`m super excited with how things are coming out. Let me not spill the oil from the jar. I can`t wait to share it with you guys 🙂
- I`m so much more self aware. I have been taking time to listen to my body. My mind. That inner voice. I`m taking time to eat healthy and since i started going to the gym this Summer, i have experienced an amazing boost of energy which has been doing me good.
- I have also taken time to draw more closer to God. To seek His Wisdom. Knowledge. Grace. To find and continue searching for my purpose in Life. That included with listening to more faith filled sermons and motivational videos has really helped me alot this past month.
- And on that note, i came across a really interesting video from Terry Savelle Foy. She was speaking about how changing your daily routine can make you successful in life. Did you know that?? She talks about how making an investmnent, not only in yourself and your future but also in your daily life routine is really important. Most of us keep our goals in our heads. The truth is that this only makes them a wish and not a dream. One thing i learnt from her is that when you put your dreams before your eyes (Lets say you have a vision board which you can access every single day), it causes your desire to go up to a whole new level and there is this drive to become more ambitious. Write the vision and make it plain on paper. When the vision is clear, the resuls will appear.
October is a special month for me in that i will be busy preparing and organizing my boys birhdays. Can`t believe that Robin will be seven years old in less than a week (hides face). And i`m always perplexed on how fine like wine hubby gets as he gets older!! So Blessed indeed.
I would love to hear about you, my lovely friends 🙂
How have you all been??
Let`s connect 🙂
